Weird Nature - Marvellous Motion
A CineMuse High-Definition Film

Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 2:00 PM
Beckman Auditorium
$5 (unreserved seating)

Biologically speaking, walking on two legs as humans do is very weird indeed. Using innovative camera techniques, Weird Nature sets stunning animal action against dramatized human backdrops to reveal the extraordinary ways that animals move. Caterpillars become wheels, a salamander transforms itself into a "rubber tire" for a fast getaway, bushbabies bounce, and snakes soar through the air!
[A John Downer production for BBC and Discovery Channel]

A post-screening discussion will be led by Alex Bäcker, of Caltech's Biology Division.

This event is suitable for ages 6 and older.
