Humans have puzzling partnerships with other animals. Fishermen in southern Brazil have forged a cooperative fishing venture with local wild dolphins. In Africa, the greater honeyguide bird leads humans to bees' nests in return for a grub-filled honeycomb. In the Texan desert, a frog and a tarantula have a good working relationshipthat of landlord and au pair. [A John Downer production for BBC and Discovery Channel.]
Barbara Kraatz Fortini, of Caltech's Biology Department, will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion.
This event is made possible through Caltech's participation in the CineMuse Network.
