A "classically trained, modernly hip troupe..."
The New York Times

On a warm spring morning in April a group of travelers gather at an inn near London and prepare to journey to the sacred shrine at Canterbury, the resting place of the martyr Sir Thomas Becket. This is England in the 80's — the 1380's, and these medieval pilgrims are drawn from all walks of life and come from vastly different classes. Men and women, young and old, clergy and lay people – all united in their common aim: the magnificent cathedral city of Canterbury. Some are here out of a sense of piety, others for spiritual renewal and there are those who have come just for the sheer fun of it!

Geoffrey Chaucer's famous poem "The Canterbury Tales" is rightly considered one of the cornerstones of both western literature and drama. Meant for performance, it is a work of sublime storytelling that is poignant, hilarious, spiritually uplifting, and wonderfully lewd yet thoroughly thought provoking.

Aquila's Canterbury Tales promises to be a fast moving, deliciously saucy, slightly naughty, romantic romp!
