The 200th Anniversary of Darwin's Birth
The 150th Anniversary of The Origin of Species
The 20th Anniversary of the Beckman Institute at Caltech
Speakers during this evening session include:
- Peter and Rosemary Grant
- The Grants, renowned investigators of the Galapagos finches, are professors of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University. They are the subjects of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, The Beak of the Finch.
- Michael Ruse
- A noted author on evolution, Michael Ruse is the Lucyle T. Werkmeister Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Program in the History and Philosophy of Science at Florida State University.
There is also an daytime session beginning at 9:00 a.m in Beckman Institute Auditorium.
