Seven guys with rich harmonies, an unbelievable ability to replicate instruments, and a stage presence that can be felt from every seat...they are a band without a band. The members of Naturally 7 met in school and gospel choir, and every band member has his preferred style or favorite songs. Together they can interpret them all, summoning up soul, rap, rock and folk in one harmonious balance.
Versa-Style Dance Company
The committed artists of Versa-Style Dance bring hip-hop to the concert stage, pushing the boundaries of traditional hip-hop dance in order to share the realities of their lives, experiences and struggles within the varied and infinitely complex political and personal landscapes of Los Angeles. Above all, it brings a sense of understanding and hope for all people.
Nobuntu, a female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe, has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro Jazz to Gospel. The ensemble's concerts are performed with pure voices, augmented by minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as the Mbira (thumb piano) and organic, authentic dance movements.
Indian Ink Theatre Company
Indian Ink's Paradise, or the Impermanence of Ice Cream is a glorious production inspired by Ernest Becker’s Pulitzer prize-winning “Denial of Death,” and the vibrant, life–filled chaos of India's most cosmopolitan city, Mumbai. Jacob Rajan delivers a dazzling solo performance as he channels seven characters, weaving the afterlife and a dash of Bollywood disco into the real-life mystery of India’s vanishing vultures.
