David Finckel, cello & Wu Han, piano
David Finckel has performed on Coleman's stage 15 times: nine as the cellist of the Emerson String Quartet, and six with celebrated pianist Wu Han (including twice as a trio with Emerson violinist Philip Setzer). Why so often? As The Washington Post put it, they "explode on the stage, exuding not only glamour and theatrical flair, but also superb musical insight. The audience's thrill is twofold."
As performing artists, leaders, advocates, and educators, the duo has had a profound impact on the music world.
