Caltech's 1100-seat Beckman Auditorium was designed by Edward Durrell Stone, noted architect of Radio City Music Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. It first opened in 1964, more than 50 years ago.
