  • Public Event
Presented By: Caltech Committee on Institute Programs

Experts estimate that in 2050 the world's urban areas will use nearly three times more energy than today's cities. Burning fossil fuels is the most likely source for that power, and that means producing five times more carbon dioxide emissions per person. Cutting those emissions could mean turning to nuclear fusion power, wind turbines, solar power, and/or carbon recapture and storage. [Science Channel]

Bryan Stubbert, a Postdoctoral Scholar in Chemistry at Caltech, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

This event is made possible through Caltech's participation in the CineMuse Network.
