The 89th Annual Seminar Day returns to Caltech on Saturday, May 16, 2026. President Thomas F. Rosenbaum opens the day, followed by Sandra Tsing Loh (BS '83, DAA '01), host of The Loh Down on Science. Faculty talks span all six divisions and include Sergei Gukov on AI in mathematical research, Pamela J. Bjorkman on a COVID-19 booster that could prevent the next pandemic, and S. Furkan Ozturk on the origin of life on Earth.

Student programs include the Three-Minute Thesis Challenge, the Everhart Distinguished Graduate Student Lecture, and the Perpall SURF Speaking Competition.

First-come, first-served lab tours include the Seismological Laboratory and the Resnick Sustainability Institute. Join in person at Beckman Auditorium or stream online. Register at alumni.caltech.edu/seminar-day.
