Join us for an afternoon of presentations, panel talk, and free discussion surrounding sustainability in the fashion & textile industries. Themes explored will include the environmental cost of over- consumption and "fast fashion," textile recycling, alternative materials and bio-materials, and environmental justice for garment workers. Featuring our keynote speaker Alden Wicker, award-winning investigative journalist and author of To Dye For: How Toxic Fashion is Making Us Sick— And How We Can Fight Back, as well as materials innovator Kristine Upesleja and sustainability expert Harmony Richards.
